The Florida Division of Emergency Management said the flooding warnings will continue overnight for Dade and Broward counties.
The South Florida Sun Sentinel reported that 10 to 15 inches of rain fell in the areas of Hallandale Beach, Hollywood and Aventura between midnight and 6 p.m. on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Fort Lauderdale, Hallandale Beach, Hollywood and Dania Beach all declared local states of emergency on Wednesday, according to the outlet.
