With this, the daily number of 181 cases coming to hospitals has increased to 250. So government hospitals have been ordered not to take non-urgent cases but also to avoid non-urgent surgeries and refer those patients to other hospitals. Because the number of covid cases is increasing, beds are likely to be less in hospitals.
Ong Ye Kung said the wave will peak in the next two to four weeks, from mid to late June. Covid-19 attacks young children and especially people over 50 years of age. So save children and the elderly should be careful.
The Health Minister has also said everyone to get vaccinated. People who have been vaccinated but 12 months have passed since then should get vaccinated immediately.

He said that most importantly, there are so many flights coming and going from Singapore. So it is possible that the Covid germs here got infected by some air service.
