The news stated that the fire approaching the houses in Israel’s “Margaliot” settlement was brought under control, and that some houses in the area were evacuated due to the fire.
THE FIRE WAS CAUSED BY ROCKETS FIRED FROM LEBANON:
In another news on the “Ynet” news site, it was pointed out that the fire broke out after a series of rockets fired by Hezbollah in Lebanon yesterday.
The news emphasized that the fires were intervened with 6 fire extinguishing planes, and it was pointed out that the fires recurred due to new rockets launched by Hezbollah.
Israel which has been continuing its attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2024, is also clashing with the Lebanese Hezbollah on the northern border.
It was reported that 325 Hezbollah members, 65 Lebanese civilians, 19 Amal Movement, 13 Hamas, 15 Islamic Jihad members, 14 Israeli soldiers and 10 Israeli civilians died in these clashes.
REINFORCEMENT TEAMS ARE REQUESTED
According to Israeli official television channel KAN, reinforcement teams were requested to control the fires in the north of the country.
Yediot Ahronot newspaper stated that 6 firefighters were injured during the efforts to control the fires in the settlements in the Kiryat Shmona region of the Upper Galilee in the north.
Stating that the air temperature in the Kiryat Shmona and Taberiyye regions exceeded 43 degrees, the newspaper noted that the existence of 15 fire points was observed only in the Galilee and Golan (occupied Syria) regions.
On the other hand, the main opposition leader in the country, Yair Lapid, said in his post on the X platform regarding the fire, “The North is on fire, Israel’s deterrence is burning with it, and the Netanyahu government has no management or strategy.”
According to Ahronot, far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir reacted to the fires by threatening Lebanon
Ben-Gvir evaluated the failure to control the fire as bankruptcy and threatened to burn Lebanon, saying, “It is time for all of Lebanon to burn.”
